  4. The song is said to have bee popular during the Apartheid which was a violent time in Africa when political parties separated and there was racial segregation, and the song was popular with the wives and daughters of families that had lost loved ones (mostly men)

  6. It has to do with the past conflicts. And one's ancestry is important because it is good to know where you come from and to find out things you don't know about yourself.
