Winter Choral Concert

Dear Parents,

The guests at Kuykendall Auditorium were truly treated to a special evening of music tonight. 145 middle and high school students sang with energy and a great deal of passion. All in attendance were highly entertained. Thank you to Lys Davidson for her time, talent, and dedication. Congratulations to the many talented students.The arts continue to thrive at Jenkintown and we thank our parents for their support of our program.

2015 JHS All Choral Ensemble Rehearsal Dates

Dear Friends,

Welcome back to The JHS Vocal Department's 2015-2016 season!!

I am looking forward to creating and singing with all our vocal ensembles.  

We have many wonderful opportunities in store for our members this season: our two in school concerts, the Jenkintown Rotary Holiday Celebration, The Annual JHS Talent ShowCase, our newly-formed annual fund raising concert events throughout the community, as well as the launching of our new MusicFirst program; which will be used as a teaching tool to facilitate better ear-training and sight-singing skills.

Please make note of all the dates posted below.  Many of our 7-12 singers will be involved in these rehearsals.  All rehearsals are mandatory!  Missing a rehearsal will result in a lower grade.

The Art Garage Performance May 30 2015

May 7^th, 2015

Dear Friends,

The performance information has now gone "public".   Please check out the Art Garage web-site: www.mtairyartgarage.org.  There are wonderful pictures and a write-up about the event.

  

Our next two rehearsals are critical to the success of the performance.​  We will meet this coming Monday, May 11 at 7:15 p.m. and May 18^th, also at 7:15 p.m.

ALL performers must attend.

On May 30^th  we will meet at 4:45 p.m. at the Art Garage for a rehearsal in the space.  The rehearsal will be from 5:00-5:45 p.m. You must be on time!!!!!  Parking is a challenge in this area; please leave ample time to secure a spot for the evening.

The students will then have time to go out and have dinner with you.

All performers must be back at the Art Garage NO LATER than 7:15 p.m.  Our performance attire will be: Casual Nice.

Tickets are now available at a special price for the families and friends of our performers.  The prices are: $12.50 for adults, children 10 and under-free.  If you are interested in obtaining tickets, I will need payment (in cash-or a check made out to Mt. Airy Art Garage) and a list of the names of those needing tickets; that way I can put all the names on one list and have a “guest list” waiting at the door upon arrival.
